A $12,500 bond will be required prior
to the
issuance of a new California Contractor’s License. After
you’ve passed your Law & Business exam and/or Trade
exam you will be required by the State of California to submit your
$150 Initial
License Fee, your Contractor’s Bond, and your
Worker’s Compensation Insurance or Exemption Form.
A $10,000 Bond of Qualifying
Individual, or BQI
bond, is required if you will be an RME on a Sole Ownership license or
an RME or RMO (with less than 10% ownership) on a corporate license.
